My workflow
Here’s a list of tools I use on a regular basis.
I use Mac OS. Most of what I do involves R and tex files too, but that is still

- This website: (Quarto + Netlify + Github; HTML, CSS)
- Data analysis: R
- Document preparation and reference management: bib- Slides: Beamer, Quarto, Xaringan
 
- PDF Reader: PDF Expert (Mac) and Skim
- Terminal: Ghostty + oh-my-zshwithStarship
- Favorite monospaced font: Berkeley Mono
- Package management (Mac): Homebrew
- dot filesmanagement:- chezmoi
- Python: Jupyter Notebook
- Experiments: Praat, Gorilla, SuperLab
- Phonetics: Audacity and Praat
- IPA fonts: tipapackage in- Notes: Markdown in NeoVim, Dropbox Paper, Apple Notes
- Browser: Safari (Mac) and Vivaldi (cross-platform)
- Keyboard macros: I use Via to optimize macros and keyboard layouts (I use a NuPhy Air 75 V2)
- Cloud storage: Dropbox, iCloud, OneDrive, Google Drive
- Collaborative work: Google Docs, Dropbox Paper, Overleaf
- General: Automator for simple tasks on Mac OS, Cleanshot and Shottr for screenshots; Raycast for Mac
- Photography: These days, mostly Apple’s Photos; Pixelmator Pro is my current go-to advanced tool. You can check some of my photos here. I have used Lightroom, Aperture and CaptureOne
